5" Kawaii Variable Speed Wet Electric Polisher Model #WEP250
The newly improved Kawaii electric stone polisher model WEP250 is a true wet polisher designed more for professionals. It features variable speed from 900 -2800 RPM more suitable for polishing jobs on granite and concrete. Two-level reduce gear, more torque with constant speed provide a more consistent polish. It has Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter for safety protection, lock on switch, center water fed, 10 feet water hose with connector to garden water, and splash guard. It has double insolation for added safety. The stone polisher can be used for edge profiling with diamond hand profilers, wet polishing of stone and concrete with diamond polishing pads. Kawaii WEP250 can only be used for polishing and light grinding. Heavy grinding and cutting with saw blades can damage the gear.

Caution: Please try your best not to let water get into the wet polisher. You will feel a little electrical tingle if water gets into the tool and if you do not wear gloves. Rubber gloves are strongly recommended when using all electrical wet polisher or grinders.

Great Value Grinder

I've used the Metabo extensively and this Kawaii is a great value grinder. There are some minor issues, but it operates well and can handle using a metal bond cupwheel.
The hose fittings leaked until I taped them all with pipe tape. Also, the switch at the top is nice, but it is a level based system that can become stuck with a small amount of slurry. I use the GFI to turn the grinder on and off. The grinder will shock you, so I recommend wearing thick insulating gloves. Use a non-conductive work surface, like a wooden sawhorse, to help limit the amount of shocking.
It's not the best grinder ever, but for a low cost, you can get a wet grinder that works.

This is the first polisher that I've bought for granite work, so I have nothing at this time to compare it to. It works great and I've had no issues with this unit. Water hookup does not leak, it's fairly light weight, and works well in tight spots such as corners. I would recommend this polisher to anyone that may be thinking of working with granite at an affordable price point. On another note, I'm not able to say enough about the team at Tool City. Ordering was easy, shipping was fast, and the communication is great! I would recommend Tool City to anyone based on quality of tools offered, my online experience, and their handling of my orders.
